DoCoMo Digital 800 MHz Phone Thank you for choosing the mova N506i. Please read this manual thoroughly to use your mova correctly, and to make the most of its advanced features. Safety information on the use of the mova N506i is included in the “Safety Precautions” section of this manual. Be sure to read these precautions carefully before using the mova N506i. Notes on Using the mova ● DoCoMo mobile phones operate using radio waves, so phone calls cannot be made in locations where radio waves cannot be received. You cannot use the mova in tunnels, underground areas, inside buildings, in outdoor locations where reception is poor or in locations outside the service areas. You may also experience difficulties making phone calls from the upper floors of tall buildings, even when there is no obvious physical obstruction. Even when reception is good (i.e. the reception level indicator shows 3 bars) and you do not move during the call, you may still find that your call is cut off. ● When you use your mova in public places, particularly where it is crowded or quiet, be mindful of not disturbing the people around you. ● Because the mova uses radio waves to communicate, there is always the risk of your calls being intercepted by a third party. However, the mova is equipped with a voice scrambling function that is automatically activated for all calls. In this way, even if a third party succeeds in intercepting your call, only incomprehensible noise will be heard. ● The mova communicates via radio waves by converting voices into digital signals. If you move into an area where signal reception is poor, the digital signals may not be accurately decoded and what you hear may differ slightly from what was actually said. ● It is the user’s responsibility to keep a separate record of all data (names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.) stored on the mova. Under no circumstances shall NTT DoCoMo be held liable for any loss of or damage to the data stored in your mova. ● The user hereby agrees that the user shall be solely responsible for the results of using SSL. Neither NTT DoCoMo nor the Certificate Authorities as listed herein makes any representation or warranty as to security in the use of SSL. In the event that the user shall sustain any damage or loss due to the use of SSL, under no circumstances shall either NTT DoCoMo or the Certificate Authorities be held responsible for any such damage or loss. Certificate Authorities: VeriSign Japan K.K., Baltimore Technologies Japan Co., Ltd. ● The DoCoMo mova is exclusively for use in Japan. ● Note that if you use the mova in an inappropriate way as to cause a public nuisance, you may be punished in accordance with the law and other regulations to prevent public nuisances. 【Taking Pictures and Sending Images】 When using i-shot to take pictures and send the images to people, take great care not to infringe upon the rights of others, particularly with regard to privacy rights, image rights and intellectual property rights such as copyright. Note that behavior of this sort that violates the rights of others, or the use of i-shot to photograph and transmit images that constitute harassment or a violation of public morals, may be punishable by law or may render the user liable to a suit for damages or compensation. Please be considerate of the privacy of individuals around you when taking and sending photos using camera-equipped mobile phones. Read this manual carefully before using your mova N506i. Before using the battery pack and the various adapters (including the charger), carefully read their respective manuals also. Should you have further questions regarding the manuals, contact NTT DoCoMo at any of the following numbers: ○Inquiries (NTT DoCoMo Group): From an ordinary (landline) phone: 0120-005-250 (toll free) (in English) 0You can call this number from any type of phone, including mobile phones and PHS phones. 0Check the phone number carefully before dialing.
