Please kindly store this guide securely after reading it. This guide will also provide notice that users have to know when they are using this product in the section “For the Correct Use of this Product and Your Safety.” Please kindly read the notice before using the product. Any reprinting or reproduction of the contents described in this guide without permission is prohibited. The contents described in this guide is subject to change without notice. The OS has been installed in this product beforehand. Please kindly bear in mind that any other OS installation in this product may result in computer malfunction. Some software have been installed beforehand in this product. For the Correct Use of this Product and Your Safety This guide provides notice for customers and others in case of any loss of properties or damages. Please kindly read the notice before using this product. Meanings of Warning Signs  CAUTION This sign shows the behaviours that may cause death and severe injury in case of violation.  ATTENTION This sign shows the behaviours that may cause light injury or the heavy damage to the machine in case of violation.  PROHIBITION This sign shows the prohibited behaviours. The illustration beside the signal describes the content of prohibited behaviours.  means “No Disassembling.”  INDICATION This sign shows the critical indications. The illustration inside the signal describes the content of the indication.  means “Disconnect the plug from the socket.” Attention For Your Safety ( CAUTION) Body  Because this machine is a precision machine, please kindly avoid using it near water areas with high moisture (e.g. bathroom) that may result in electric shocks or fi re.  Please do not repair, disassemble or modify this product; otherwise electric shocks or fi re may occur. Any repair for these reasons will be charged accordingly.  Please do not put metals or chemicals inside this machine; otherwise a short circuit may occur and thus cause breakdown or fi re.  Because the base of this machine will heat up if used for a long time, please kindly use it on the desk. Using it on the lap for a long time may cause minor burns. Please also do not use it for prolonged periods on those surfaces that can keep its temperature high (e.g. bedding) and any areas and surfaces obstructing the exhaust vents; otherwise this may cause the machine to overheat. For the Correct Use of this Product and Your Safety Power, Power Cord, AC Adapter  For the AC adapter, please use the one supplied with this product. The use of other alternative adapters may cause electric shock or fi re.  Please disconnect the plug quickly when the AC adapter is overheated or burnt. Continuous use may cause electric shock or fi re.  Do not use a kinked or curled power cord; otherwise electric shock or fi re may occur.  Please immediately stop using the power cord when broken; otherwise electric shock or fi re may occur.  Please make sure the terminals are not covered by dust when you connect the power cord or AC adapter. Connection of terminals covered by dust may result in fi re.  Please use 100-240V for the power input. Use of voltage other than within this range may cause electric shock or fi re. Battery pack  For the battery pack, please use the one supplied with this product, and also avoid using it for any other products; otherwise it may result in ignition, generation of heat, or explosion.  Please do not throw the battery pack into the fi re; otherwise it may result in explosion, fi re, or injury.  Please do not violently hit or drop the battery pack. Strong impact may result in breakdown.  Please do not charge the battery pack by using any other method that is not described in this guide; otherwise it may result in explosion or fi re.  When the battery pack has been charged for a designated period of time, please do not re- charge it even if the charging has not fi nished yet. Charging continuously may result in ignition, generation of heat, or explosion.  Please do not disassemble the battery pack; otherwise it may cause possible damage to the protector inside the battery pack, or ignition, generation of heat, and explosion.  Please quickly keep yourself away from the machine if there is stink or leakage of fl uid from the battery pack that may cause ignition or explosion.  Fluid leaking from the battery pack may result in blinding when it contacts your eyes. For the Correct Use of this Product and Your Safety Electric Wave  Please do not use wireless LAN or Bluetooth in restricted environments (e.g. airplanes, hospitals, etc); otherwise it may disable or hinder the operation of sensitive medical equipment, such as a cardiac pacemaker, etc.  For those users with a cardiac pacemaker, please use this machine over 30cm away from the pacemaker; otherwise it may disable or hinder the operation of the cardiac pacemaker.  Please do not use the wireless LAN or Bluetooth in restricted environments (e.g. hospital, airplane, etc.) where the use of wireless machines is limited; otherwise it may influence the electric machinery or human life.  Please do not use the IEEE802.11a mode of wireless LAN outdoors. Violators will be legally punished according to the Electric Wave Act, which prohibits that behaviour.  Please do not use the wireless LAN or Bluetooth near the premises of wireless stations for mobile device identifi cation used in the product line at factories. In case there is any interference of electronic wave with the wireless station for mobile device identifi cation, please immediately stop using the wireless LAN and contact our support centre. Attention For Your Safety ( Attention)  When unplugging the power cord, do not pull on the cord itself, but pull on the plug head. This is to prevent any damage to the computer due to power surges or short circuits.  Please disconnect the plug when you're not using this machine, overcharging the battery may cause fi re or leakage of electricity.  Please do not place this machine on unstable or vibrational places or put heavy things on the machine; otherwise it may cause breakdown or damage.  Please do not hit or drop this machine. Strong impact may result in breakdown.  Please do not use this machine for a long time under direct sunshine, in dusty places, in places of high temperature and humidity, or near heaters; otherwise it may cause fi re or breakdown.  Please make sure the operation of hard disk stops before moving this machine; otherwise it may cause breakdown.  Please do not use sharp-pointed objects (e.g. pen, etc) to touch the display; otherwise it may cause damage.  Please do not shut the display when something is being put on the keyboard; otherwise it may cause damage to the display or keyboard.  Always hold the main body when moving this machine. For the Correct Use of this Product and Your Safety  Please do not use sharp-pointed objects (e.g. pen, etc) or apply strong pressure to operate the touch pad; otherwise it may cause damage.  Please do not put objects on the cables. Damaged cables may result in leakage of electricity or fi re.  Please quickly clean your clothes or body if stained with the fl uid leaking from the battery pack, and go to the nearest hospital for a physical examination; otherwise the acid may damage your skin and body.  Do not use the battery pack in case of any abnormality (e.g. stink or rust, etc).  Please do not cause your battery pack to short-circuit; otherwise it may result in fi re, breakdown, or explosion.  Please do not splash water on the battery pack; otherwise it may damage it.  Please keep children away from the battery pack.  Children must be accompanied by their parents (guardians) when using the battery pack. Attention For Your Operation Please wipe the stained machine with a clean dry cloth. Please wipe the display with a clean soft cloth because of its vulnerability. To prevent permanent damage to the computer, never spray water, cleaning fl uids or chemicals on the display. It is recommended to back up your data in the hard disk regularly. Please arrange the cables and avoid them being entangled to trip people. Please kindly store the accessories with this user's guide properly. For Your Health Please bear in mind that taking a break every 30 minutes or doing some gentle exercises would be advisable after you use this machine for a long time. Please adjust the angle or brightness of the display to improve the visibility. Blinking words or illustrations on the display due to fast-repeatedly switching images may cause epilepsy or loss of consciousness.
