Setting the Date and Time
You can set the phone to display the date and time on the stand-by screen. When this setting is enabled,
the phone will receive current infomation for the local service area, and update its date and time settings
accordingly.

Making a Call / Answering a Call

Enter the phone number you want to call → press .
To adjust the earpiece volume during a call : press .

Storing Data in the Address Book / Displaying the Address Book
■Storing Data in the Address Book
Press for more than one second → press to select the item you want to store → press →
enter the data → press → press .
■Displaying the Address Book
Press to display the Gyo(hiragana row) search screen → press to select the hiragana row under
which the entry is stored → press to select the appropriate name → press to display the detail
screen of the Address Book.
Setting the E-mail and EZweb Default Settings
Before you can begin using the E-mail and EZweb services, you must set the default settings. When you
set the default settings,your E-mail address will be registered, allowing you to send and receive E-mail as
well as access the internet.

Using E-mail and C-mail
■E-mail
If you subscribed to the EZweb service when you purchased your phone,you will be able to use the E-mail
service immediately. If you did not, please contact the au shop where you purchased your phone for further
information. Make sure that you set the default settings before using the E-mail and EZweb services for
the first time. (See "Setting the E-mail and EZweb Default Settings" above.)

■Reading a Received E-mail Message
When you receive an E-mail message, "EメールX件"(X New E-mail), where X represents the number of
messages received, will be displayed on the stand-by screen.
Press to select "Eメール X件" → press → press to select "メインフォルダ"(Main folder) → press →
press to select the E-mail message you want to read → press .
■C-mail
Subscribers in areas other than the metropolitan area and Chubu district need to apply for a separate
subscription to use C-mail.
■Sending a C-mail Message

enter the recipient's phone number → press .
■Reading a Received C-mail Message
When you receive an C-mail message, "CメールX件"(X New C-mail), where X represents the number of
messages received, will be displayed on the stand-by screen.

Using EZweb
EZweb is an information service that allows you to enjoy easy internet access from your mobile phone.
If you subscribed to the EZweb service when you purchased your phone, you will be able to use the EZweb
service immediately. If you did not, please contact the au shop where you purchased your phone for further
information. Make sure that you set the default settings before using the E-mail and EZweb services for the
first time. (See "Setting the E-mail and EZweb Default Settings" above.)
