Up front and prominently featured is the F1.2 Aspherical Super Bright Lens*, the entryway for bright, high quality images. JVC’s exclusive 3-Dimension Noise Reduction (3D NR) is especially effective in low-light scenes, reducing grainy noise by about 30% and improving the signal-to-noise ratio by 2dB. The Clear LCD Monitor provides bright and vivid images with reduced surface reflection and glare when used outdoors, so you can shoot and watch instant replays in the field without the washed out image you’d get with conventional LCDs. Its unique double-action folding design enables a large 3" LCD (GR-DX307/DX97) to be incorporated into such a small body. These cameras are always ready for action, too. As soon as you pull out the viewfinder or open the LCD monitor, the camera automatically powers up so you’re ready to shoot. Close the monitor or retract the viewfinder, and the camera automatically shuts off to save battery power. And after you get home, you can breeze through all your recordings and easily find the scene you want to watch with DV Navigation’s thumbnail image* access (GR-DX307/ DX97/DX77). You can burn the MPEG-1 data on a CD-R disc to create a Video CD that’s viewable on most DVD players. The MPEG-1 data files can also be converted to MPEG-4 and attached to emails for video messaging over the Internet. If you want a Web-camera to communicate in real-time via image and sound, just webcast* the video stream over the Internet. Digital still capture from video or live camera feed is possible, while the GR-DX307/DX97/ DX77 also offer native MPEG-4 Email Video Clip recording with file storage on the memory card. All models are equipped with i.LINK input/output as well as analogue input. ImageMixer comes supplied and supports both USB and i.LINK data transfer for Windows® and Macintosh.
