One day, a raven(渡鸦)happened to fly past a lake. Looking at the lake, he saw the
most beautiful animal he had ever seen. It was a swan(天鹅)and its feathers(羽毛)
were as white as snow. The swan was playing with other birds happily, talking and
dancing. And it seemed that the other birds all liked tostay with it . When he looked
at his own feathers, they were as black as coal. The raven was very angry with the
swan. “How can the swan have such wonderful feathers?” said the raven. What should
he do with his feathers? He thought it over and over.
Then, the raven decided that he also wanted to have white feathers like the
swan’s. From that day on, the raven began to live like the swan. He moved his home
from the woods to the lake. He also started to eat water plants like the swan. He
tried his best to talk and dance with the other birds. The most important was that
each day, the raven would wash his feathers, hoping that they would turn white. Even
he went to the nearby rivers and ponds to wash his feathers because he thought the
water in the lakes was not enough for him to wash them. But no matter how hard he
washed his feathers, they remained black.

If you take away many sentences from somebody’s written work as your own without
permission, it’s called plagiarism(剽窃),but if you take the knowledge fro ma piece
of work by another and change the words, then it’s not plagiarism. This is the
difference between using the Internet and plagiarism. If you are given homework to
work out math problems, then you should use your brain(大脑)without a computer! If
the teacher asks yo u to learn something about a famous literary person, you can
use the computer, If you take down the main important information of the task, it’s
OK. However, if you run to the computer to do your thinking for you all the time,
you don’t exercise your brain and you will forget how to work out a problem. By
using a computer, students may get a useful answer fast, to finish homework, but
when they have to face an exam ,they will not be ready for it.
B. Can turn to a computer for help
D. Will meet problems with plagiarism
Though teachers say finding or buying homework answers online is not many in
schools, an interview with school students shows only 10% hopes to finish their
holiday homework by themselves. They complain that the h omework is too much for
them to finish. Besides, many of students have to go to all kinds of training classes
during the holiday. These take away much of their time for doing homework. So they
want to find or even buy answers online or copy each other’s homework. Students
should learn that being a student is about getting skills, but not just getting quick,
cheap “answers” for homework problems. I mean we should use the computer properly.

2?

answers?
A. Using it for math problems

(1)Sweden’s program of producing energy from rubbish is so successful, but
recently its success has also produced a surprising problem: There is simply not
enough rubbish in this country. It has been reported that only 4% of their rubbish
goes into landfills(垃圾填埋场)。 The rest 96% is recycled or more recently being

the serious and special problem mentioned above.
(2)Sweden has recently begun buying much waste every year from other countries,
such as Norway, Bulgaria, Romania and Italy. These countries depend heavily on

ends up in landfills.

from other countries but also changes the waste into energy in Sweden, which provides
electricity and heating for so many homes. It’s a win-win situation. Cle ver!
