1 INTRODUCTION The Infor EAM Installation Guide outlines the procedures for installing Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition. Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition offer several different installation scenarios. If you are using an Oracle database, you have the option to install Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition (Oracle) only or both Infor EAM (Oracle Forms) and Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition (Oracle). If you are using a Microsoft SQL Server database, you can install Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition (SQL Server). Infor products require the installation and configuration of third-party products, such as Oracle RDBMS or Microsoft SQL Server. The information included in this guide is intended to provide instructions for installing Infor products. Wherever possible, recommendations for installing and configuring third-party components are included. However, the recommendations for installing and configuring third-party products described in this guide may not be ideal for all customer sites, due to the unique requirements for each customer. Refer to the appropriate chapters of this guide that are applicable to the installation that you wish to complete. Refer to the Infor EAM Oracle Database Installation and Upgrade Guide for information on installing Infor EAM (Oracle Forms) and the Oracle database components required for running Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition (Oracle). Important: If you are installing Infor EAM (Oracle Forms) and/or Infor EAM Enterprise Edition and Asset Sustainability Edition (Oracle), the intended audience for this guide is an Oracle Certified Professional Database Administrator or equivalent.
