musical instruments continues throughout a game. When a team comes out, their fans
sing a different song for each player. And even when their team is losing badly,
Japanese fans continue to yell an scream.

角) to cheer their team on Taiwanese fans often yell“ Charge(冲锋)” to encourage
their team. And when a player hits a run, a young girl presents him with a toy animal
that looks like his team’s symbol.
In the United States- Asian visitors are often surprised by how quiet American
baseball fans are.” When I went to a baseball game in San Francisco, everyone was
just sitting there watching. It was boring,” says Barry Lin, a Taiwan student
studying in Califomia.”Baseball was invented here but Americans don't seem so
excited about their game.”

When I was in Grade Three, I got into a major argument with a boy in my class
one day. I have forgotten what the argument was about, but I have never forgotten
the lesson I learned that day.
I believed that I was right and he was wrong-and he was sure that I was wrong
and he was right. The teacher decided to teach us a very important lesson.
She brought us up to the front of the class and placed him on one side of her
desk and me on the other. In the middle of her desk was a large, round object, I
could clearly see that it was black. She asked the boy what color the object was.
"White, "he answered.
I couldn't believe he said the object was white, when it was obviously black!
Another argument started between my classmate and me. Seeing this, the teacher told
us to change places. and this time I found the object was white.
It was an object with two differently colored sides, and from his side it was
white. Only from my side it was black.
Sometimes we need to look at a problem from the other person's view in order
to truly understand that person's viewpoint.
