1 Overview
1.1 Product Overview
The MB86H55/MB86H56 is a single-chip half-duplex codec LSI chip that executes encoding
and decoding processing including video, audio, and system processing in an H.264/AVC
system.
The MB86H55/MB86H56 is a single-package LSI module including a codec LSI unit and
one 512-Mbit FCRAM unit.
The MB86H55/MB86H56 has a functional upward compatibility compared with the
MB86H51 that is existing H.264/AVC system codec LSI. And the MB86H55/MB86H56 is
low power consumption compared with the MB86H51.
In addition, the PCI-bus connect function, the boot up function from SPI-ROM, the clock
generation function, and the video scaling function etc. are added for the
MB86H55/MB86H56 compared with the MB86H51.
